When a boy loses his pencil, the entire class accuses little Diko of the theft and even the teacher suspects him. Diko refuses to accept the new situation and will try his best to come to the bottom of it. The Lost Pencil puts the issues of truth, injustice, authority and acceptance in the focus. One of the classics of Yugoslav cinema was in Cannes in 1966 included among ten best children’s films of all times.

About the director Fedor Škubonja
Fedor Škubonja was born 1924 on the island of Murter near Šibenik. He directed three fiction and many documentary films. Screenplays for his films were all written by his wife, Stanislava Borisavljević. He died in 2008.
